San Lorenzo

The church of San Lorenzo. I think I read this is the oldest church in Florence dating from the fourth century, although this is a much later building. I have forgotten who the stature shows.

I had to stand here for several minutes and take several shots to avoid having people in the foreground.

Rather tiresomely my flight has been cancelled. So I will be returning later than planned, and luckily I was able to extend my hotel booking, though that turns out to be quite expensive. My new flights are at quite unpleasant times, and a shorter connection than I would have liked.

It has been cloudy today. Although it is still not cold, the weather today has not been as good as the previous days. I don't think we had any sunshine.

Had lunch at Za-Za which was recommended to me, and seems to be a very popular place. Nice lunch, and not overly priced considering its popularity,
