Now, Open your eyes and See...
As the nights draw in earlier, and earlier I am forever conscious of getting as much daylight into my head as I can - but when the office is busy, it's not always easy to find the time.
I left on time tonight and headed towards town. I could see 2 miles from the beach the sunset was spectacular - the sea was flat calm and as pale blue as it could be ever be. By the time I was a mile away, it had started to darken, and the sun was heading lower and lower.
I can remember a time when sunset took forever, I could sit on the sand and it seemed an eternity until it disappeared. but by the time I hit the car park and ran to the prom sun set was in full flow - I was only able to fire off a couple of shots with the big camera... when i realised I didn't have a memory card !!
Back to the phone.
It's hard to take photos of something so amazing when all you want to do is stand, open mouthed and gaze. It changed every minute, every second, and you don't want it to go, and you don't want to leave, but you remember that himself is making Mac and Cheese, and you have to drag yourself away.
And you hope, that tomorrow, it will be as beautiful, and amazing, and there, and you have your memory card.
And then you remember that there is a meteor shower tonight, and will I be able to drag himself out at 11pm to have a look see, from the top of the hill?
