Flint dog?

Stone kiddy's toy or object of worship?
Found this on yesterday's walk and had to bring it home. Now cleaned up and descaled it is really amazing how animal shaped this flint is, even has four legs in a running fashion, two straight and two curved although one has broken off at sometime in the recent past. Probably when heaved to the surface by a ploughshare.
