Walking...

...past the Tolbooth Tavern today and I thought what an interesting looking building it is and how the wee Tavern I have in my Christmas Village light set is almost identical to it.

In moments like this I usually also get round to thinking about the stories a building like this could tell and how the Cannongate will have changed while it has been standing there.

Grateful for old buildings like this that connect the past to our present.
