sunshine after the rain

it was lashing down all morning, I was thankfully stuck in the office, but it cleared up and walking home I spotted this rose - a bit like mine, all on its own! the sun was out by this time, and the rain drops were glistening so I took a quick pic with my compact intending to go back, but of course the sun has gone again now and I think the pic is pretty good, so here it is.

busy now doing the meeting minutes I didn't get done last night, and getting ready to go on holiday in a couple of days.

ps. I was just reading about the latest mega lottery winners and feeling a bit jealous - not that I bought a ticket - then I thought that even £148 million couldn't buy Iain his sight back so that he could enjoy simple sights like this rose. money truly isn't everything. health is much more important.
