So, I walked the dogs, went to the dentist (who I've been going to for years but has only just discovered my academic interests so today, for the first time, spoke to me in medical parlance), and then went to work.

The turquoise scarves had arrived to go with the undertaker uniforms and at least cheered the place up a bit. However, I stuck to my guns, and when anyone asked why I wasn't joining in I explained that I hadn't been consulted about it and I didn't agree with it. It turned out I'm not alone (I'm just the only one not complying at all). Anyway, I'm now on leave and not in the office again for twelve days so I can have a break from it all!
