propped up

This is a rose hip being propped up by a nearby weed.
I could use a nearby weed to prop me up today. Last night Laney came down with "canine flu," or whatever you call it when dogs get violently ill. I was up to take her out every two hours from 10 pm to 6am this morning. When she didn't need to go out again at 8 am I thought the ailment had passed. But then she drank some water and the problems started all over again. So we took her to  the animal hospital to get some anti nausea meds and hydration. The good news is that after a complete workup ($$$), the vets could find nothing seriously wrong. The best guess is that she got into something bad at the dog park on Monday.
Tonight we will all sleep well!
