Give me steam
I spent a lovely day at Gloucester Docks with Oldjoe , Lanscapeartist and Hillyblips. the weather was kind to us except for a shower when we went for a sandwich. We wandered around the docks which were very peaceful, in the morning sunshine. The old warehouses were mostly used for storing grain. They were converted into dwellings and business premises some years ago although there are still some derelict buildings, among them an old malting factory.
In the foreground is an old restored steam crane, with restored warehouses beyond.
Extras, the old Downings Maltsters' unrestored building and the rather smart marina area, showing the small but beautiful Mariners church.
