A fine spot for lunch.
As we continued to explore various walks from the hotel today we walked to Droga Strazyska. On the way we stopped at this wonderful little cabin for lunch. However, as we got closer to the cabin itself there were few signs of life. Through one window we noticed a candle burning and proceeded to try the door. Once inside we were met with smells of cooking and as our eyes became adjusted to the low light inside, a small room was revealed, with a price list of food and a hatch through to the kitchen. In there were several simmering pans on a cooker and an enormous apple cake on a table in the corner. We both settled for 'Zupy' (soup)' Rachel had tomato and I had Bigos (hunters) a sort of broth containing sausage, bacon and cabbage, both with Chleb (bread). We then shared a piece of Szarlotka (apple cake). It was very tasty, filling and all for under a fiver!
