Rather difficult to grasp...

... these large thistle heads (indeed I wouldn't try to grasp them).

I saw them, back-lit by the sun, yesterday but couldn't get the shot I wanted with the lens I was using. So I made a quick detour to Valley Gardens this morning for another try.

I blipped the same plant in the summer but felt there was another picture to be had.
