Tail Game

This afternoon Cyclops and CyclopsJnr built some trains, read some books, thoroughly fed several teddies, and went for a nice walk.

CyclopsJnr had his balance bike much of the time, but at the end he ditched it for a bit to play the tail game.  This is a game played at rugby tots where they have to chase each other to capture a velcro tail.  CyclopsJnr compensated for the lack of a tail by simply pointing at his behind (or mine when it was my turn), saying "yes, tail" emphatically, then starting the chase.  Great fun.

His language is really coming on in big steps each day at the moment.  He's some distance from proper sentences, but he's stringing words together with clear intent, and using more types of words too.  

Mind you, he has now started using "shut up" when the DJ talks too much on the radio (he likes music) and "Naughty Mummy/Daddy" when we do anything he doesn't like.  Maybe we'll be regretting his speaking ability before long...
