Doctors Point
Wow - another day of cold, wet southerlies drenching the island in heaps of rain. A good reason to stay indoors but we are all getting cabin fever I'm afraid. In the afternoon Roweena and I took Skye out for a jaunt down to a place called Doctor's Point.
A mini-adventure through bush and beaches to windswept bluffs overlooking the sea - all gunflint colored. The sea's horizon ensconced in fog. Washed up kelp fronds like child's play-things and green mossy sea boulders litter the beach. Further along, ancient columnar rock columns like petrified bones washed up and exposed from some distant epoch. I even saw a falcon in the cliffs and Skye got a stellar romp in.
This is the look of puppy satisfaction.
