Silly Mummy!

We are LOVING our holiday!! (See yesterday's blip). We had a lazy morning, though Mum was working on her schedule for work for next month. Sometimes it takes hours. Boring! I slept! Then we went to our friends in Warminster for lunch. It was a VERY pretty 30 min drive and since the rain had stopped and the sun was warm, we drove with the top down. Yay!!

Mum had intended to do a couple of things on the wifi at our friend's place, since there's no wifi at the lakeside hut. But when we got there she discovered she'd left the bag with the computer behind. STRESS!!! Not only that but the bag had MY food in it! More stress! Silly Mummy!!

Thankfully our hosts were generous and I was served a bowl of food from the table! Chicken and bacon casserole with mashed potato! YUMMY!! Mum enjoyed her serving too, and the humans enjoyed a giant lemon meringue pie afterwards. After a pleasant afternoon of eating, coffee, walkies and afternoon tea, Mum and I finally drove back to our holiday home. By the time we got back it was dark and raining again.

Mum left the key in the car by accident so she had to go back for it and when she did she fell down the last step of the hut. Silly Mummy!!

She fell pretty BADLY! I was in her arms and she dropped me but I was OK! But Mum couldn't get up for a few minutes. It was very dark and wet. She finally got up and hobbled to the car and then back up the steps and inside. Her ankle is badly sprained. The very nice manager who lives nearby brought her some ice and she spent the rest of the evening with it on her ankle while her leg was propped up. I stayed close by her side and watched her like a hawk. I think she'll be OK. It's a good thing I'm an old dog and don't need long walks!
