Derelict but Delightful
Using Janny's title - a big thank you to everyone who entered a pic for Derelict Sunday's birthday. A fantastic selection from romantic cottages to beached boats, rusty machinery to spiral staircases, glimpses through windows and fading flowers, funky chickens and sturdy stoves, all beautiful in their own way.
Fiendishly difficult to sort out the faves but here goes (I am a sucker for old cottages, especially those being reclaimed by nature!)
Derelict but Delightful by Janny, who could resist that old wisteria covered cottage, (also blipped by beautifully by TMLHere and There)
For the First Anniversary by Admirer, who could resist this virginia creeper covered little beauty!
There's Fancy by Lovelupins, terrific colours on this handsome old door
Happy Birthday Derelict Sunday by 60Plus, a colourful, complex jumble - special mention to her for doing a derelict each day for week 52
Far Beyond by philiphoto, fantastic shapes and textures in this mono
Honourable Mentions will also be getting hearts when I have them - you might have to wait a bit:
Mardale by spotsoftime, an incredible view but sad story
The ruined walls of the Wey House Cottage by cleansteve, so much history all around us if we care to look
Evolybab's seedhead, very beautifully done
More Moss by John Deere, another irresistible little cottage
The Old Post Office by jensphotos - amazing that this could be abandoned
Phew! Admire all offerings by tagging DS52. We're now in week 53, entries accepted whenever.
An no dereliction today, just a stormy Bantry Bay - still a few boats hanging on in there.
