Home Traveler
I had to wipe dust off my passport today. For someone that had to add pages every 6 months to her passport, the dust was disconcerting. I've enjoyed my time at my home in Lexington, but I do miss the rest of the world. Thankfully, I get postcards, emails and views of blip journals from folks around the planet. These peeks into other places, new perspectives on daily life, and exchanges about cultural happenings have been a blessing. And while I may wish I were there, at least, I get to remember that the world is bigger than my backyard.
"Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not."
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
