Lemon

My Dear Fellow,

This is actually a picture from yesterday. I seem to be blipping one day behind at present. Soon, I will have a day where I do nothing and miss it out to correct things.

Lemon, as I am sure you remember, was my childhood friend. For some reason she is a girl. My nan got her for me at t'market for 50p and for some reason I loved her more than all of the expensive bears my mum got me. Small children are like that. My mum did make her the dungarees though, this was to hold her together. She is a bit moth-eaten.

You may remember the story of my mum's funeral, where my sister had placed an in memorium for my mum from me and Lemon. As a result, when I was introducing Er Indoors around to relatives later that day they all thought she was "Lemon" and oh what quaint names you have in New Zealand.

Lemon slept with me on Saturday night for the first time in over 30 years. I kept her for years, but she returned to Yorkshire when my mum got sick. She lives there still, and I think it is the ideal home for her. She seems to have been given pride of place anyway, and quite right too.

El P.
