One Step At A Time

Rain clouds cleared today and we headed out for a via ferrata route nearby. It gave us a few tricky challenges and we seemed to make very slow progress. Views were of course stunning but our muscles ached as we plodded upwards. And I had Donkey in my head asking 'Are we there yet, are we there yet'. Very annoying.
Once at the top we had to turn tail and head down as it was late afternoon. The bar looked very inviting but we couldn't risk stopping . The walk down took us quickly from dusk to dark, through spooky woods! Finally we arrived at a village - not yet at our car. Checking in a bar we still had another half hour or so to go. Our Hero ran off to retrieve the car while the Teenager and I settled down to cold beer/coke. But the barman turned Hero and phoned a pal to pick up Mr KT and take him down the road. Aw, how nice was that.
