What a day . . .

. . . so the plan was to binge on the Hilton breakfast so we would last ‘till the evening when we would have had time to stock up at the local supermarket near the accommodation which is to be home for the next two weeks.

It was a good plan and seemed flawless as we lay sunbathing on the comfy sun loungers enjoying the cooling sea breeze . .  we both had a little snooze . . . I say little, the blip doesn’t really do our beetroot red faces justice!! (apologies for the even worse quality photo than normal photo, but were on the old laptop and I’ve already done this twice before its decided to mysteriously delete sentences and then finally crashing completely!!)

Anyway we arrived on PI (Paradise island) by taxi with luggage around 4-00pm and dropped cases off before the very nice lady at the reception arrange to drop us at the main supermarket back on Nassau. Fatigue was again clouding our judgment as we filled a trolley with enough food for the fortnight, and then (following a twenty minute period where at opposite ends of the store we walked up and down missing each other to a point I was starting to need the loo and imaging scenes from the missing), we queued up at the cash till.
We had a  “money card” charged with plenty of cash along with the Credit Card and $10 in cash. Problem - the hurricane has taken out their point of sale machines so cash was the only option?!?

So to cut a long story short it was another taxi to the nearest ATM (which wasn’t working) before we found a working one, paid the driver $50 paid the store and finally unloaded 63 bags of shopping back at the apartment!!!  (The local school was bag packing and insisted that one bag per item it’s the only way!)
