Shere Parish Church

Went into Shere for lunch today. Very nice.

Popped into the Church before leaving. I'd heard that Four Weddings was filmed here so thought it would be interesting to check it.

This Cross on a side wall really blew me away. Not seen one quite like it ever. The painting behind is interesting enough but the nails and the crown of thorns looks so appropriate. Shere Church have a mission statement that says they want to be relevant. I say - YES!
