Digging In - Brewing Up

Another visit to the WW1 Trenches in Pollok Park. The digging has extended to include a First Aid post, and a German garden.

Here one of the soldiers is brewing up on a Tommy Cooker. With the help of another soldier, they strained the tea leaves through a gauze bandage (see extra).

We also learned about the Scottish Women's hospital. Very interesting talks and display panels.

Then on to The Burrell for another look before it closes next Sunday. I took quite a few photos, so I can enjoy some of my favourite pieces whilst it is closed. Sent the boys a photo of The Jack Clock. When they were small, we often stood waiting for it to chime. A special memory.
