Heron in the Creek

This heron has been sitting in the same place for the past three days, right under the footbridge I walk across on my daily walk. He has a wound on his wing, so I think he is trying to heal in a safe place, and though I was worried about him during our storm, he made it through ok.
Grateful today...that the storm wasn't as bad as predicted. It did topple a huge tree in back of Steph and Sammi's, in their neighbor's yard. It blocked the sun and dropped leaves in their backyard so they were happy to have the storm do what the neighbor wouldn't do!!
