Luxembourg Gardens

We walked in to the gardens through a fairly constant stream of people engaging in some kind of exercise: a children's party where they were having an egg and spoon race; teenagers on park gym equipment; joggers; a jogger who paused to do 10 one-arm press-ups!!; children going daft in a play park.

We passed through the park past less strenuous activity and people: petanque; flaneurs; donkey riders; model boat sailors; sun-soakers leaning back in their park chairs against trees and statuary.

This couple, however, seemed to have found the most peaceful 'activity', of the mind.
