Supermoon
I was hoping for a clear sky tonight, to see the supermoon, or Perigee Full Moon, which happens when a full moon is at the point in its orbit that brings it closest to Earth. At this time, the moon appears 30% brighter and 14% bigger to the naked eye. Also, October's full moon is referred to as the Hunter's moon because it appears very soon after sunset, and traditionally generated more light for farmers working in the fields and hunters to spot wildlife.
