Manchester - Science Museum.

Went in to Manchester to a vegan fair but couldn't resist walking through China Town and looking round the Chinese supermarkets. We also couldn't resist calling in the science museum. So much to see. 

There is always an interesting demonstration and talk about the textile mills of Lancashire. You get to see and learn about the whole process of producing cotton cloth. The machinery is brilliant but was dangerous and deafening for the people working in the industry. Children as young as 5 worked in the mills - scary stuff.
