Carved from Salt.

Today we visited the amazing salt mines just outside Krakow. It is absolutely huge and covers many miles on many levels. Our tour took us to three different levels, it was fascinating to see how the salt was extracted and brought up to ground level. In many parts there are sculptures completed in salt. This one was in a large underground cathedral.Quite a sight!
