Happy 2nd birthday James

We had a calm morning to prepare for the afternoon - the mayhem of a toddler party. Although there were only 8 children there, they ranged in age from 1 to 4. A potent mix. somehow the Dad and grandad disappeared to the shed - but they didn't escape that lightly as #2 daughter quickly told all the kids so off they all went for about 2 minutes till one made another cry.

James enjoyed his day. I wanted to get some pictures but nobody was still enough, so here is James being held down by his mum to admire his cake. I have made the same one every year from when my girls were little, chocolate cake with Smarties.
