For Sammy

A picture of a picture for Blip today-- this is how I want to remember Sammy, riding in his favourite spot next to my dad.

I got the sad news today that my dad's beloved dog Sammy was in a terrible accident and had to be put to sleep. I gave Sammy to my dad as a present before I came to England. He said it was the best gift anyone had ever gotten him which made me well up and still does. Sammy was well loved! He was such a happy, energetic and loyal companion. He had the wonderful life of a farm dog- chasing all sorts of little critters, getting long runs in the field and having naps in the shade. He went to work with my dad every day and was surely the best four-legged friend anyone could ask for.

Love you Sammy, you will be missed!
