A Beach and a New Beginning

After missing our original flight out yesterday -- and yes, that's a FIRST for either of us -- we landed uneventfully in warm and sunny Puerto Vallarta for a much-anticipated week of tropical paradise and escape from reality. Our first encounter with Puerto Vallarta came three years ago, as some of you may recall, when a friend offered me use of her condo here for a few weeks. I stepped up to the challenge and accepted her offer. This is now our third visit. 

After settling into our wonderful AirBnB with full ocean view (yes!) we went for a stroll along the Malecon (boardwalk). In the midst of swimmers, surfboards, taco stands, and children frolicking, this couple took their wedding vows, surrounded by friends, family, and tourists, like me! 

I'm grateful to be here again, and after a good night's rest, we will begin exploring more of the town.
