Anglesey Abbey

lovely day out - took a taxi over there and rather bemused that the taxi driver had apparently never heard of it. Winter garden and Mill (we got to help turn the water on to make it go) and some exploring before lunch and we met thus fine fellow who is one of my favourites. Not 100% convinced the refurbished cafe is any improvement on before - cake in three places? Weird. Anyway after lunch a potter down through the woods to the tree house and play area - lots of running and climbing. Saw some fab autumn colours and collected lots of leaves. The plan for coming home was the number 10 bus, which runs once an hour. Shame we missed one by 10 minutes and then the next didn't show up! We gave up and called another taxi making it a somewhat expensive day out - but it did get us home quicker :)
