We had a lovely day in West Kirby

We got there slightly too early to walk to Hilbre island so decided to walk round the marine lake, have lunch and then walk to the island .

You should put your walking boots on, he said!

We're only walking on Tarmac round the lake, she said, converse are fine!

10 minutes later my feet were drenched!

On the way to have lunch at Aubergine Cafe we picked up dry socks!

Then had a lovely walk over to Hilbre!

I love the sense of space you get on the walk across ....
