Oyster Festival II

For some reason I really struggled with getting up this morning! Fortunately the thunder, lightning and heavy rain delayed everyone else too and we left it until mid afternoon to return to the Oyster Festival!

We had eyed up the food stalls last night so all went and had our pick, I enjoyed a goat curry, Janis a pastry thing, Eldest had sushi, Boy had a mackerel roll, Princess chips, Smallest a pasty and MrRoly and Pete shared a seafood platter.

Being a good girl guide, we arrived with our chilled bottle of champagne with plastic glasses after paying £8 a glass yesterday! After a dessert of crepes, we headed to the Crowd Nest for a warming cup of tea while we waited for the Boyfriend to arrive at station. Home now with a roaring fire and a cheese feast for tea.
