RAF West Malling

This was the best view I could get of the building in the background. It is the control tower of what was a very busy airfield during WW11. The airfield is now a housing estate with two supermarkets and a small shopping precinct. Running alongside the car park is a wide path with bronze plaques showing aircraft of that period set at intervals with quotes from poems in gold here and there in wavy lines. It never fails to bring a lump to my throat as I walk along
