Old Mackinac Point

Q. What state in the United States has the most lighthouses?
A. MICHIGAN...IT'S MICHIGAN!!!

With the Great Lakes, we have 116 lights. We had the chance to see 7 today, but only visited 3. This time of year, the lights aren't open, but usually the grounds are.

We got to this one with an hour of daylight left. It is backlit, but I like how the star came out.

We'll go tomorrow morning to get the morning light, and maybe see another light that is close by.

We came up the east coast of Michigan today (the Lake Huron side), and will return home on the west coast (the Lake Michigan side.)

The Autumn colors are spotty, but it's still nice to get away for a couple of days...with just my wife. Plus, I had my pasty (meat pie) fix for supper.
