Patriarch Ponds (ponds in plural)
Once a swamp, the "Goat Swamp". Drained into several ponds in the 17th century with fish farmed for the patriarch nearby. Falls into neglect and reverts to being a swamp again. Drained again in the 19th century, this time into a single pond - but keeps the plural name - though not for the fish nor for the patriarch, who had since moved. Now it's a fancy feature in a fancy part of Moscow. Also blipped in winter hues on 22 March 2016.
