Splash of Colour

We decided the weather was perfect for a walk, so we decided to go along the bridal path past the farmer's house to the cowsheds, however when we got to the farmer's place we decided it was too hot to continue and the thought of a chilled beverage waiting at home decided the day. I have prompted S to start taking photo's of butterflies hence todays blip. On the way we came across 2 voles who were also out for a walk and when I placed my boot in the path of one of them he took the chance to hide under it. We tried to take some pic's as this may have been a good blip, to no avail, we didn't get a clear pic before we let them escape into the grass. I'm sure they will have a story to tell their mates at the local.
