Day 287 of 366 - The front of Bonds Hospital!
The image today was taken late this afternoon in the City Centre of Coventry. The view is of the Grade II* listed Bonds Hospital. The building that was founded in 1506 as an Almshouse by Thomas Bond, a previous Mayor of Coventry is now over 500 years old. The oldest part of the building is the timber framed section (part of which is seen through the archway and to the rear). The front of the building as can be seen here in the main part of the image was rebuilt in 1832 in the Ashlar style.
The photo was taken using the app Pix by Microsoft on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Snapseed to edit the picture. I cropped the image and applied the Tonal Contrast preset. I then boosted the Contrast, Saturation, Ambiance and Warmth. After this I decreased the Highlights and Shadow area. Next I used the app Mextures to apply the Bleu formula by Cora Edwards. After this I use the app Stackables to apply the the Wet Moss formula. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Recover Highlights preset, the Vibrant FX and a Large dark vignette. I then applied Old Paper texture and the Leather frame.
