Growing up fast

Whoosh... and just like that, in the blink of an eye this beautiful little girl, my niece, has hit the grand old age of four.

We had to pop round to say happy birthday, and catch a little of the excitement ourselves of course.

Obviously a great photographic opportunity, but it has to be said, when the energy of a four year old combines with the energy of an actual fourth birthday, there is created such a perfect storm of energy that even the most advanced camera will struggle to freeze the action.

But, in the briefest moment of relative calm, I caught this little moment, where at least some of her was still.
