Abandoned Abode

The only supermarket in Mora has closed for a couple of weeks, so we drove to Ponte do Sor (about 30km) to get supplies to cook for a gathering of our organisation on Saturday. Went on a back road, and stopped to take a walk - headed off into the eucalyptus trees, hoping to reach the lake, but the path petered out... worth it though - quite different scenery to other parts, with all the trees; the abandoned farmhouse is all too typical, however.

Did the group at Cabeção on the way back - good time, though Paulo, the baker, was saying that seven people had died there this week, mostly quite elderly, but as he said, seven less people eating bread - worrying for them...
