Warrior's Rest

Swannie' s mum came down to see us today. I'm getting better at saying hello and I don't dive upstairs and hide now. Well, you never know, she might have Dreamies in her pocket!

They went away out in the car in search of a house called Warrior's Rest, which is where Swannie's Mum lived when she first went to school. This house is in the Yarrow valley, just outside the village of Yarrow. It used to be the shepherd's cottage belonging to a local farm. This was the fourth house Swannie's Mum had lived in, and she was only five, shepherds, like her dad, moved about a lot in these days. The cottage is named after the standing stone which is just beside it - the detail is in the extra photo. It is very old and possibly part of a cemetery originally.

This evening, Maly and I were both taken along to the vet, I'm doing very well, I have lost ten percent of my body weight and I'm now at a good weight so will get a wee drop more food but I'm still not to have too many treats. And Maly? Well, his belly is still bald! Lots of love, JJ, xx.
