Bicarbonate of Soda Crystals under Microscope

Bicarbonate of soda dissolved in water, left to dry on a microscope slide. 

This image and the ones in extra photos were all taken from the same sample and the same slide.  For all but one of them I used polarisers and dark field microscopy.  3 were taken with my Canon 5D MkIII and the one that looks like moths flying around was taken with the microscope's built-in camera.
