Palace garden

This is in the grounds of Gyeongbokgung Palace. One of very few views without lots of people. A palace was originally built on the site in 1395 but it's been destroyed several times and was extensively rebuilt in the 1860s and later destroyed again. They've been restoring it again since 1990.

This afternoon I took a bus to Sokcho on the coast. I wanted to get out of the big city and Sokcho is near a national park. And it's the first time I've got to the coast since I left the UK.
