Grass
Holiday over and back home to Edinburgh today. I think for the first time our daughter was visibly upset at having to go back home. I would like to think she was missing her grandad, but I suspect it's the prospect of going back to school next week that was preying on her mind.
We drove back to Edinburgh today in pretty glorious sunshine all the way up. Not a whole lot to say about the trip, except that it felt a lot easier than the drive to Great Yarmouth all those weeks ago.
Unfortunately, when we got home I discovered our Virgin Media cable modem refusing to welcome our return by playing nice. The engineer on the telephone helpline reckon our antique transistorised cable modem may need to be replaced, perhaps by something modern using these new-fangled microchips. So my backlog of blipfoto pictures will have to wait.
I took these representatives of the grass family near our house, catching the last of the glorious evening light. Any allegories regarding comparing hues of grass in Edinburgh and where we have been are left as an exercise to the reader.
