One Fine Day

Spring green foliage
Breeze drives small waves towards shore
Discovered today

The first sunny day for what seems like weeks.  To celebrate after school I drove to the next road that leads down to Lake Rotorua.  In my 30 years of living here I have never been down it. There is a strip of beach facing north west so it gets great afternoon sun.  There is a grass verge to sit on.  I think it would be a lovely spot for a swim in the summer.  There are a line of houses across the road from the lake.  I met a lady coming back from walking three large dogs and two young men who said a friendly hello, so I figure they are visitors.  They took photos using a phone of the same view.
