Beinn Eight National Nature Reserve Woodland Trail

Today we decided to go for a walk around the woodland trail at Beinn Eight Nature Reserve , we headed up through the woods, we had some stunning views of Slioch . (This is one of the Munros that myself and my better half failed climbing years ago due to bad weather we turned back after a 4 hour walk in.)
Anyway we carried on up the woodland trail and decided to take the high path which takes you up to another Munro . We carried on up but I noticed that one of my dogs was struggling climbing up some of the pathway . We decide that we were not going to carry on and stopped for Lunch . All the other dogs had some lunch/ biscuits but Snoopy just lay down in the heather and fell asleep. When we had lunch and woke him up he was not wanting to move so we ended up putting in the ruck sac and carrying him back down . Got him home and we do have pain killer for him we gave him some and a few hours later he was fine. So I think the days of long hill walks are over for this auld one, low level ones for now on for him and me .
