Pumpkin Patch

Strange new things are emerging in the Culpeper Garden at the Castle. Whilst escorting another photoshoot today, I stumbled across this artistic pumpkin patch nicknamed 'Dave's Bed' after the gardener who created this colourful and enchanting display.

Using the trellises from the summer's sweet peas, Dave has created this autumnal garden with hanging pumpkins and trailing vines along the soil.

The Pumpkin Patch looked to me like the scene from Cinderella when the pumpkin transforms into a carriage! And with names like Snowman, Crown Prince and Celebration the pumpkins belong in a fairytale!
