Sunshine at last! just after Lunch
As we were leaving Castleton and looked back on the upper Danby Beacon road, looking the the West, below in the foreground you should be able to see the railway line crossing the picture, one of the few that has come down to us from times past, and top right of the picture the scattered houses of Castleton.
Images like this make it easy to understand why our landscape is often referred to as either a "Green and Pleasant Land" or "patchwork Quilt"
