Love Where You Live

The lighting was really odd  and I did not have a flash.  We, the conservation volunteers, had been nominated for a community award. The top 3 in every category were invited to the awards ceremony. We did not win but we had a good evening with more wine on offer than food. 

One of the "celebrities! dishing out the awards was local Paralympics table tennis gold medallist Will Bailey. We had our photo  taken with him  and by this time I was leaving photography to the professional guy  who would know what to do in the blue light.  I got to hold the gold medal - small things amuse ............
