Mr. Scratch
My Dear Fellow,
Being a BA doesn't always sit well with me. As an ex-IT person I know full well when unreasonable demands are being made, and it is currently my job to make such demands when business people suddenly remember the vital thing they have to have that is so important they never bothered to mention it in the last 6 months.
It leaves me feeling a little guilty, is my point. Karmically speaking I suppose I pay it back in going to meetings in which we discuss "multi channel attribution". Don't ask.
To slough off the day I watched "The Devil and Daniel Webster" in which Mr. Scratch stalks 19th century New Hampshire in search of souls to steal. It kind of reminds me of "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" only with no golden fiddle. It's a really great film and Walter Huston is a chilling Mr. Scratch. He steals the film.
I sometimes wonder if I have my own Mr. Scratch in my current agent and if I've given up my honest job in IT for filthy lucre. But then I remember midnight implementations and production data updates and I think, "Stuff it".
And besides, I've now gotten me this shiny fiddle made of gold. Totally worth it.
