Almost Done
Our last full day in Hawaii, having heard the term "Tropical Paradise" I often wondered what it meant, I now know.
We have had a wonderful time and intend to continue by making the most of tomorrow. We fly out from Hawaii at 21:00 tomorrow, that's midnight LA time arriving 05:00 Tuesday for a rest day before the next day out.
Today was a lazy day, drove around the island anti-clockwise stopping at the Nu'uanu Pali Lookout Point for the magnificent views.
We stopped at two farms, macadamia nuts and coffee at the first and all sorts of exotic fruit at the second.
Next stop was the Hale'iwa Ali'i Beach where Clare and Janet snorkelled with the turtles. Ice cream from Scoops of Paradise at Hale'iwa was followed by a drive to the Dole Pantation at Kukaniloko.
Everything was made from or about pineapple, we caught the Pineapple Express to see the plantation and recognising the logo I now understand where the supermarkets at home get their pineapple from.
We were early back to Ko Olina where we had BBQ'd chicken for dinner before watching the Olympic Closing Ceremony, (12 hours behind everyone else).
