Tiny bubbles

The tiny bubbles of light dancing over the grass early this morning were very pretty, and appropriate for Tiny Tuesday I thought. It was much cooler early this morning, definitely autumnal now.

Every term at Thomas' school the Director of Music chooses a theme for their performances, and this term it is a festival of American music, due to the forthcoming presidential elections. When we were in South Africa Thomas played in one of the first of this series of concerts, and I was sorry to miss it - but tonight he is performing that same piece again in another concert, a piano piece by the American composer MacDowell, so I am going to go watch it. Later this term they performing Aaron Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man and Gershwin's An American in Paris, which are both perfect for trumpet so Thomas is very excited about playing the trumpet in that.
